Definition:
A mature sexual reproductive cell.
“Gay”
Definition: A word used to describe a person with
a homosexual orientation. The term gay is used to promote a happy and
positive feeling concerning homosexuality.
Gays have pride in themselves; used of this word connotes acceptance of who
they are and conveys the attitude that homosexuality is a valid and
acceptable sexual orientation.
“Gaybashing”
Definition: Physical attack commit against
homosexuals because of their sexual orientation.
“Gender”
Definition:
The
property that distinguishes individuals in their reproductive roles.
“Gender
Dysphoria” Definition:
A relatively new term used to describe a general feeling of
discomfort or uneasiness a person has about his or her true gender.
Transsexuals are persons said to have gender dysphoria.
“Gender
Identity” Definition:
Also called a sexual identity, this is the private conviction
a male has about his maleness or a female has about her femaleness. It is
the core of how we feel about who we are, and is probably established by the
age of two.
“Gender
Role” Definition: The
individual expression of a person’s gender. What is seen as appropriate male
and female behavior is established by culture, and tends to change as
cultures change.
“Genital
Odor” Definition:
Characteristic odor originating in the genitals of men and women.
“Genitals”
Definition:
The external
sex
organs.
"Genital Herpes"
Definition:
An infection caused by herpes virus that is usually transmitted by
sexual
contact, marked by painful eruptions on the skin. There’s no
definitive cure known. |
“Genophibia”
Definition: The fear of having sex.
“Gestation”
Definition: Also known as pregnancy, this is the period during which a
baby develops in the womb.
“Glans”
Definition: The
penis’ head or rounded small-like tip of the penis or clitoris.
“Glory hole”
Definition: Is a hole in a wall or other
partition, often between pubic lavatory stalls or video booths for men and
women to engage is sexual activity or observe
the person in the next cubicle while one or both parties masturbate.
“Golden
Shower” Definition:
Is a slang term used for urinating on someone for sexual pleasure.
“Gonad”
Definition:
Gland
that produce gametes.
“Gonadotropins” Definition:
Hormones that control and stimulate the ovaries in the female
and testes in the male.
“Gonorrhea”
Definition: a very common sexually transmitted
disease caused by a bacterium. In women it affects the cervix, urethra, and
Bartholin’s
glands. In men it affects the urethra. Sometimes it also affects the
eyes, throat, and rectum in both sexes. A
condom
will prevent transmission of
STD.
“Gossypol”
Definition: A male
contraceptive
pill that decreases sperm maturation and leads to temporary infertility. “Grafenberg
Spot (G-Spot)” Definition:
This is an area thought to be located on the anterior vaginal
wall about two inches into the
vagina. It is
said to be small and soft, becoming larger and more apparent when
stimulated. Stimulation creates a passing feeling of the need to urinate,
after which sexual pleasure predominates.

“Granuloma Inguinale”
Definition:
Also known as
donovanosis, this is a sexually transmitted bacterial infection. In women,
the infection affects the labia; in men the infection shows on the glans or
shaft of the penis. Long-term antibiotic therapy is usually used for
treatment. Use of a condom prevents being infected. If untreated, granuloma
inguinale may lead to destruction of labia or penile tissue.
“Group
marriage” Definition:
A committed relationship involving more than two persons. It
frequently involves an obligation rite.
“Group Sex”
Definition: Is a sexual behavior involving more
than two participants at the same time. This sexual behavior may have higher
numbers of sexual partners, and may for this reason be more likely to have
sexually transmitted diseases (STD’s).
“Gynecologist” Definition:
A physician who specializes in women’s sexual and
reproductive health. Usually, a gynecologist has a combined practice with
obstetrics, the specialty that deals with pregnancy, childbirth, and
postpartum care. This combined specialty practice is called obstetrics and
gynecology (OB-GYN).
“Gynecomastia”
Definition: Excessive enlargement of the male breasts during puberty due
to small amounts of estrogen produced by the testes. Usually it is a passing
development change and requires no treatment. In adult males, abnormal
enlargement of the breast may be due to alcoholism, which causes liver
damage and leads to increased levels of estrogen in the blood. |
